Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

On your 1st appointment, you can expect to be here for approximately on hour. You will begin with filling out paperwork after being greeted by Dr. Daniel personally. The entire hour is spent one on one with your physiotherapist.

After your paperwork is complete, you will be taken to the treatment room and go over an evaluation process and a full hands-on treatment (please wear comfortable and non-restricting clothing) where your physiotherapist will do muscle testing, mobility testing, range of motion assessments and more. During this process, you will be educated on what exactly is going on so you are aware of what is happening and the plan to handle it and progress upwards to optimal functions. Any questions or concerns are welcomed to be communicated to assist in any way possible.

And finally, you will receive a series of specific exercises to directly address your body's needs.  You will work one-on-one to learn and apply these exercises to help you progress the condition of your body .And as you progress through your program your exercises will progress as well.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

North Carolina is a direct access state for Physical Therapy. You have full access to utilize our services without  seeing a physician prior to your visit: No referral is required. This means you can address your injuries and recover that much faster!

Our therapists are also trained to identify when conservative treatment might not benefit you. If this is the case, you are quickly referred for alternate care, thus avoiding unnecessary periods of inappropriate or expensive treatment.

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

Apogee is a self-pay practice, meaning that we do not network with private insurance companies or Medicare/Medicaid. We do accept HSA/FSA for all of our services. .

Because we work outside of the insurance system, which, we believe, drives up costs and drives down treatment time, Apogee is able to offer you exclusive time with our experts and ultimately individualized care.

Our therapists respect your investment in your body. We will focus on educating you and putting you at the helm of your medical care every step of the way.

Because of our cash pay system, you will receive no surprises, such as a hefty bill in the mail. Simply put, you get what you pay for.

Many private insurance plans reimburse for our services at an ‘out-of-network’ rate (does not apply if you are using Medicare, Workers’ Compensation or auto insurance). We recommend checking with your insurance company regarding the specifics of your ‘out-of-network’ benefits. We will happily generate a detailed invoice for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

NOTICE:

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy.
No-shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be billed in full, except in cases of sudden illness or emergency.
All payments are due at the time of service.
